The Dark Knight Breaks Records In Just Ten Days
The Dark Knight had been breaking box office records since its showing day. It is now Hollywood's shining knight. The Batman sequel, starring Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, shattered another box-office benchmark this weekend – reaching beyond the $300 million mark in a mere 10 days.
The movie grossed $75.6 million in its second weekend in theaters, bringing its North American box-office total to $314,245,000, Warner Bros. head of distribution Dan Fellman tells the Associated Press.
The number breaks the record established by 2006's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, which hit $300 million after 16 days.
Fellman says Dark Knight could conceivably reach the $400-million mark in about 18 days – placing it ahead of Shrek 2's 43-day record in 2004.
Hold on to your life preservers – The Dark Knight might also surpass 1997's Titanic as the highest-grossing film in U.S. history, according to Paul Dergarabedian, president of Media By Numbers. That sinking-ship saga, starring Leonardo Di Caprio, made $600,788,188 domestically.
Rounding out this weekend's top five at the box office were Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly in Step Brothers, with an estimated $30 million; Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia!, $17.9 million; David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson in The X-Files: I Want to Believe, $10.2 million; and Brendan Fraser in Journey to the Center of the Earth, $9.4 million.

Project Runway Season 5 Couple Wes Nault And Daniel Feld
Wesley Nault is currently dating fellow Runway participant Daniel Feld. It is such a good karma for Nault despite being eliminated from the show Project Runway Season 5 last Wednesday. Well, according to People magazine Nault had confirmed that the two of them indeed have a relationship.
“We met on the show,” Nault told PEOPLE. “And we tried to keep it very professional on the show because we were both there for our careers, and we didn’t expect this to come out of it. But I’m really happy.”
Nault & Feld
Speculation about a relationship between Project Runway contestants – a first for the Bravo show – began online after fashion bloggers noted that both designers listed that they were “in a relationship” on their MySpace pages. And both listed each other as a “top friend.”
Runway’s executive producer Jane Lipsitz also confirmed to PEOPLE that two of this season’s contestants were dating each other, but never specifically named them.
“I am shocked that they’re talking about this, I really am,” Nault says about the buzz surrounding his relationship. “I’m shocked it’s such a big deal.”
And rest assured, Runway fans, the designing duo are going strong. “We’re still together – and it’s going really well,” says Nault.
So well, in fact, that the two designers may have a professional collaboration to look forward to.
“Daniel and I are talking about possibly working on something together,” Nault says. “Everything’s in the works right now.”

Shocks Vs Sparks Basketball Brawl
Candace Parker wanted to focus on all of the good parts of the Los Angeles Sparks' win over the Detroit Shock.
But the people will remember what happened on the last 5 seconds of the basketball game. The brawl erupted with less than five seconds remaining. Four players were ejected and two technicals were called and it all began with the Shock’s Plenette Pierson and the Sparks’ double-ESPY-winning Parker battling for position on a free throw. And what a Shock the team coached by former Pistons Bad Boy Bill Laimbeer was involved.
Parker was one of three players ejected along with Detroit assistant coach Rick Mahorn after an ugly scuffle with 4.6 seconds left in Los Angeles' 84-81 victory.
"To be honest, I don't recall exactly what happened," said Parker, who led Los Angeles with 21 points. "I'll have to watch the tape."

Getting A Harvard Education
The oldest higher learning establishment in the United States is Harvard. Located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, it opened its doors in 1636 and is one of the most prestigious academic centers in the world. Harvard application, along with hard work of course, almost guarantees a path to career success. Such is its reputation, rivaled only by its traditional rivals of Yale and Princeton.
In addition to academic pursuits, the university education is noted for its excellence in sporting and cultural achievements. Anyone accepted, following their Harvard application, is expected to work hard and play hard. There are many old traditions here, including college songs and the official school colors of crimson.
The latest figure for acceptance of undergraduates is almost 9% and there are slightly more female students than male. As part of the Ivy League, the Harvard application process does not recognize athletic scholarships. There have been recent steps taken to enable more young people from lower income groups to attend.
The 6,700 undergraduates and 12,400 graduate students can expect the best of facilities and teaching standards at the institution. There are approximately 2,400 professors across nine faculties, which include medicine, law, divinity and business schools. The library is said to be the largest academic library in the world with a collection of 15 million volumes. Rare books, manuscripts, maps and atlases are greatly prized.
Sporting facilities are second to none and many sports are represented by Harvard students, including volleyball, fencing, wrestling, squash, rowing, ice hockey and tennis. Football is also a big part of Harvard life and the annual game against Yale, dating from 1875, is fiercely contested. There are also facilities for athletics, an indoor cycling track, a multi purpose gymnasium and weight rooms. The indoor arena is used for basketball matches and there is an Olympic size swimming pool.
Students interested in the arts are encouraged here too and a Harvard application could lead to membership of one of several activity groups. The university has its own theatre group, college choir, symphony orchestra and literary magazine. Harvard is also responsible for numerous museums, including art collections and natural history and science museums.
This university opens up many possibilities for achievement in many areas and the opportunity to make friends for life. Past graduates have included US Presidents John F. Kennedy and Theodore and Franklin Roosevelt. World famous poet T.S. Eliot and composer, Leonard Bernstein also graduated from here. These illustrious names will be an inspiration to anyone considering a Harvard application.

Do Extremely Cheap Last Minute Flights Exist?
Sometimes we suddenly get the urge to take an adventure, or we are given the task of attending a pressing business meeting in another city. In both these instances, travel is ultimately going to be tricky and in some cases, expensive. There is a way to save and find extremely cheap last minute flights if you know where to look.
The Internet has become the best tool for all things travel related. You can easily compare hotel, car rental and flight prices with just a quick click of your mouse button. Within seconds you can have an entire vacation booked. When it comes to finding extremely cheap last minute flights, there are many valuable resources to utilize online.
Airlines’ official sites should be the first place you visit when you are looking for a ticket at a moment’s notice. Major airlines are always keen on selling every seat on every plane that leaves the ground. If you don’t find a discount rate on the airlines site, try giving them a call directly. Sometimes, you can actually get a better deal when talking to a person than you can online. This isn’t always the case though, so check both options to be certain.
The low cost travel sites should also be a pit stop on your journey to find a low price ticket. Just as some airlines will offer last minute seat sales, some of the discount travel sites do the same thing. Many people are under the mistaken impression that in order to find the very lowest price, you have to buy your ticket at least fourteen days in advance. Don’t let this discourage you from checking each of the discount sites for extremely cheap last minute flights.
If you’re accustomed to flying direct to your destination, consider taking a detour if you’re looking for a lower fare. Some airlines will offer cheap last minute flights on connections. If you don’t mind switching planes part way through your journey, this can be a great way to save money. The same approach can be taken on your flight back home, so be sure to keep that option open.
Also be a little flexible with your return ticket. If you are buying a round trip fare you may discover that you’ll pay less if you stay an extra day or two. This can be one of the best ways to get extremely cheap last minute flights if you are planning on staying with someone you know, and you don’t have to shoulder the cost of a hotel for an extra night or two.
Never settle on the first price you are quoted when you are looking for an airline ticket. This applies whether it’s a spur of the moment trip or a vacation you are planning months from now. There is almost always a way to get a cheaper price if you just do some research.

Batman - The Dark Knight Now Showing; Heath Ledger Gives An Astounding Performance
The Dark Knight is a vivid, magnificent film simply among the best movie I've encountered in a long time, and easily the most effective of its form.
Christian Bale comes back as the serious-minded caped crusader opposing an international class villian, an all-consuming first-rate joker, played Oscar-caliber by the late Heath Ledger.
Ledger's joker is no joke. He's a chaos-seeking human missle and the best bad guy in motion picture history.
Now and then, The Dark Knight comes in the cinematic stratosphere as a guessing man's comic book hero attempting to spare the world and in the procedure, feeling immoral around the outlook it requires to fight pure evil.
The Dark Knight is written and directed to the letter by Christopher Nolan. Consider this backing cast - Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Gary Oldman - altogether assisting a technically impressive film that lives on a higher level.
Be deliberate, The Dark Knight is graded PG-13 but feels like an R, and runs two and a half hours.
Every frame is a gut-wrencher, an ethical motive tale about a bad guy without any ethics and a benevolent guy that comes out to be over his head. This is why I attend the motion pictures.

Finding Trucks Accessories on the Web
The realm of all the trucks accessories is huge. If you're new to the customization scene, it can all be a little overwhelming. A search on the net could yield more choices for the vast trucks accessories than you could possibly sift through in one sitting. One site that could help you to get started is Enjoythedrive.com. Their motto is, "Customize your vehicle for the way you live." The site helps you do just that, filled with tips on custom car accessories, where to find accessories, and how to use them.
Enjoythedrive.com was created by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) as an educational search tool for any kind of improvement, from auto safety devices to custom car accessories. They don't sell anything online but instead offer friendly, courteous, and professional advice on what truck accessories would be perfect for your vehicle.
Enjoythedrive.com is easy to navigate and they make it simple to search for information on truck accessories. Search areas such as "I Drive…," "I Use My Vehicle For…," and "Let's Improve…" provide a starting point and a way to narrow down the choices of car and trucks accessories. Each page on the site has articles, reviews and links for current products, tips on installations, and information regarding local laws.
As you explore deeper into these various sections, you'll find several custom car accessory options that would fit your vehicle and suggestions on where to find these items. For example, if you select "Let's Improve Play Time," you'll come to a short article that begs the question, "What do you like to do?" If you click on Mobile Entertainment System, Enjoythedrive.com asks pertinent questions to narrow down your search. Depending on what you click, the site will give you choices.
At first glance, this site may seem chaotic, but it really is a wealth of information for anyone looking for truck and car accessories. The search engine is easy to understand and the explanations are straightforward.
However, this resource doesn't stop there. If you can't find exactly what you're looking for or if you have issues with you vehicle in general, the SEMA Expert's Advice found on the right hand side is the place to check out. Skilled professionals who are members of SEMA usually offer advice, and they'll point you in the right direction when searching for trucks accessories.
A handy "Who Makes It?" section will aid you in putting your finger on who made that great custom car accessory you saw on TV, if you can't think of the name of the company. This resource is comprehensive list of -800 SEMA member manufacturers and, in some selections, appears overwhelming, considering the number of companies that can pop up depending on how general your description is. Yet, the site will try its best to help you find any manufacturer's trucks accessories you're looking for.
Another feature that is unlike anything accumulated in one place on the net is the section called, "Your Car and The Law". This section details truck and auto laws narrowed down by state, type of vehicle, or federal issues. The main page always lists hot topics in legislation and is updated often. Enjoytheride.com is a one-stop information shop for anyone looking for trucks accessories ideas, help, and laws.

The Effects of Global Warming
Over the past few years, everyone has been learning more about global warming. This phenomenon is being taught and explained in schools, and many environmental scientists are doing their part to spread the word to the public about global warming and what can be done to stop it. But, what exactly are the effects of global warming? Are they detrimental enough for us to be concerned about? Here are some factors to consider.
The increase in the overall temperature of the world is one major reason so many people are doing their part to stop global warming. If the earth becomes warmer, especially in places where it should be cooler, exhaustion and heat stroke will become more of a reality for certain parts of the population, such as young children and the elderly. This affects the overall health of the world's citizens. Also, glaciers and masses of ice in locations with below freezing temperatures will melt-this means that the glaciers in Antarctica will melt, turn into water, and begin to overflow into the world's lakes and oceans. This may not seem like one of the more important effects of global warming, but overheating could cause an abundance of water in the earth, which increases the chances of flooding. There is also controversy over whether this water will be clean or acceptable for humans to drink—if most of the water is unhealthy for human consumption, we will have to do more to protect our homes and families from flood damage.
Global warming science professionals also believe that the onset of tropical diseases will be greater if nothing is done to stop the increase in global temperatures. Conditions like malaria will become much more common, which is another serious health risk that humans must consider. The state of the agricultural community will be in danger as well—there are certain crops that can not grow in extremely warm weather, which means that some of the foods we have come to rely on for nutritional may be a thing of the past if we don't work to end global warming. This also means that certain animals could become extinct—certain species of animals naturally thrive in colder climates, and the overwhelmingly warm temperatures could mean that some animals will no longer be able to survive.
Clearly, the effects of global warming are great, but there are things we can all do in order to protect our planet and preserve the health of all the earth's inhabitants. For instance, using harsh chemicals in the air that will penetrate and destroy the ozone layer is increasing the chances of global warming. It is up to us to purchase or make environmentally safe products, such as CFC-free hairspray and deodorant, since these products are good for the ozone layer and will not harm the earth. Conserving energy and reducing the amount of electricity that is used during the day will also help to reduce the negative effects of global warming. Not only will you save money on your electricity bill, but you will be doing your part to make sure that the planet is a safe place for you and your children to live in.

Cynthia Rodriguez Walks Out On A-Rod
Is the road to splits ville imminent between Alex Rodriguez and his wife Cynthia Rodriguez? Is it true that Cynthia joined Lenny Kravitz in a weekend getaway in Paris? Well, read on and be the judge.
Alex Rodriguez has been at the center of the latest Madonna and Guy Ritchie divorce rumors. Now it seems the real reason for his late night visits with Madonna could be for consolation.
It is now being reported that A-Rod’s wife of six years, Cynthia Rodriguez, has left him less than three months after the birth of their second daughter.
The plot only thickens from here. Sources are now saying that 34-year-old Cynthia has been seeing rocker Lenny Kravitz, and that the two are currently enjoying a romantic getaway in Paris.
Madonna’s rep has denied rumors of an imminent divorce and says Rodriguez and Madonna share the same manager, Guy Oseary, and are “just friends.”
Rodriguez walked away from reporters at Yankees stadium on Tuesday when asked about the Kravitz rumors.

Ingrid Betancourt Release by FARC - Her Health A Main Concern
French-Colombian politician Ingrid Betancourt and three US military contractors were among a group of hostages rescued Wednesday, July 2, 2008 from Marxist FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) rebels in a daring jungle operation, Colombian officials said. The rescue is the most serious blow ever dealt to the 44-year-old Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, who considered Betancourt and the three Americans their most valuable bargaining chips.
Betancourt was captured and became a hostage in 2002, and the three Americans were held since 2003. Betancourt's health is a concern due to the pictures that came out and she appears on a not so good health condition. American hostages Marc Gonsalves, Thomas Howes and Keith Stansell were also freed in the operation, some 72 kilometers (45 miles) from the city of San Jose del Guaviare.
Santos said the military intelligence agents infiltrated the guerrilla ranks and led the local commander in charge of the hostages, alias Cesar, to believe they were going to take them by helicopter to Alfonso Cano, the guerrillas' supreme leader. The group was surrounded by military commandos, Cesar and the other guerrillas gave up without a fight as they helicopters took the hostages to a military base in Guaviare.
